Located just outside downtown Saluda, The Gorge Zipline delivers a high-adrenaline canopy tour that’s become a top attraction for families, thrill-seekers, and visitors exploring North Carolina’s outdoors. The core experience includes 11 ziplines spanning roughly 1.25 miles, with riders dropping more than 1,100 feet in elevation amid the dramatic scenery of the Green River Gorge and its expansive old-growth forest.

Your adventure begins at the rim of the gorge, where experienced guides lead you through safety orientation and gear setup. From there, you launch into the canopy — zipping from tree platform to tree platform, crossing a breathtaking sky bridge, and conquering three large rappels that offer thrilling transitions and excellent photo opportunities.

Tours typically last around 3 to 3.5 hours, including guided instruction and time on the lines, and are designed for participants ages ~10 and up who meet the course’s safety requirements (including a weight range of roughly 70–250 lbs). Advance reservations are strongly encouraged to secure your preferred date and time, especially during peak seasons like spring, summer, and fall foliage weekends.

The Gorge Zipline is celebrated not only for its thrills but also for its spectacular views. Riders can enjoy sweeping panoramas of forested ridge lines, distant mountains, and the protected lands of the Green River Game Lands that stretch across the region. Whether you’re a first-time zipliner or a seasoned adventurer, this experience combines natural beauty, heart-racing fun, and unforgettable memories at every turn.
